Please read the information below carefully, particularly the Backorder Disclaimer, before placing your order. By placing a backorder, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this information and accept these terms.
What Is a Backorder?
A backorder is an item you can purchase today, even though it’s temporarily out of stock in our warehouse. Placing an order for a backordered item secures your spot in the queue. We will dispatch the item to you as soon as new stock arrives.
Backordered products are clearly marked on the product page and at checkout, so you always know before you buy.
Why Do Items Go on Backorder?
Items are placed on backorder for a few common reasons:
- High demand has temporarily outpaced available stock
- We are waiting on a new shipment from our supplier
- Seasonal or event-driven demand has increased faster than usual
- A product is part of a larger restock currently in transit
What Happens After I Order a Backordered Item?
- Order confirmation – You’ll receive a confirmation email noting that one or more items are on backorder.
- Payment – Payment taken in full at the time of order.
- Estimated arrival – Approximate ETA is provided on the product page.
- Updates – We’ll keep you informed if there are any significant changes to that timeframe.
- Dispatch – Your item will be shipped as soon as it arrives at our warehouse.
Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)
The approx. ETA will be displayed on the product page. An ETA gives you a general idea of when a backordered item is expected to arrive at our warehouse. It’s based on the latest information available to us at the time, but it isn’t a guaranteed delivery date.
Backorder Disclaimer (Please Read!)
Please note that any Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) provided for backordered items is a guide only and subject to change. While we make every effort to provide accurate information, arrival dates depend on factors outside of our control such as supplier schedules, shipping delays, and customs processing.
By placing a backorder, the customer acknowledges and accepts that delays may occur and agrees that ETAs are not guaranteed. We will keep customers updated on any significant changes to expected arrival dates as information becomes available.
Ordering Backordered Items Alongside In-Stock Items
Backordered items can’t be ordered alongside in-stock items through our online store. If your order includes both, these will need to be placed as two separate orders, since in-stock items are dispatched immediately while backorder items are dispatched once they arrive.
If you’d prefer to have in-stock and backorder items shipped together as a single order, please contact our team and we can arrange this as a manual order for you.
Changing or Cancelling a Backorder
If you wish to cancel or amend a backorder before it ships, please contact our team.
